Hi! I’m Samanda Rossi.

With a long history of hearing women’s birth stories from a young age, an interest in birth, babies, and breastfeeding was planted. After working as a high school teacher, years as an advocate and volunteer in the homebirth community, midwifery assistant, and a mother (to three homeborn children) herself, Naturally Prepared was born and has been growing ever since!

In 2022, I earned my Masters of Social Work. This degree program has deepened my clinical skills in preparing individuals and couples for major life transitions.

I love stories in all forms -books, television and movies. My superpowers beyond birth work include cooking and baking, planning and hosting events, cultivating community, and keeping the laundry “done” on the homefront.

Philosophy, Why Choose Naturally Prepared, and Our Community

I believe…

  • I believe you have everything you need within you to birth your baby, no matter how your birth unfolds.

  • I believe in birth without regrets. Making educated and conscientious choices so that no matter how your birth goes, you feel you did everything you could to have the birth you wished for.

  • I believe there’s no “right” way to give birth. Classes are shame free (and shame liberating) and honor previous trauma (life and birth).

  • I believe in reducing fear and trauma. Birth can be traumatic, my goal is to equip you and your partner with skills - emotional, mental and physical to reduce the likelihood of trauma.

  • I believe partners are also going through a transformative journey, and their experience needs to be valued.

  • I believe postpartum can be very challenging, so I seek to prepare you for the realities with practical suggestions for life on the homefront, with baby, and in regards to your mental health and your relationship with your partner and family.

  • I believe in serving ALL families. I respect your beliefs, your background, your sexual orientation, your family structure, your cultural heritage and I have experience (and a love for) serving a WIDE diversity of clients.

  • I do not believe you can plan a birth. But I DO BELIEVE you can prepare for birth!

Why Choose Naturally Prepared?

  • Naturally Prepared is the only class in the area specifically designed for those choosing midwife assisted birth. Exploring questions like, what if my risk status changes? How will I cope with the pain? What if others aren’t supportive of my choices? And so many other what ifs.

  • That said, Naturally Prepared has also prepared lots of families choosing to birth in the hospital with a supportive team with great feedback and success.

  • You will be prepared to birth anywhere - hospital, birth center or home. With or without intervention. Vaginally or by cesarean. No matter what you are planning. With flexibility and openness

  • Consistently recommended by midwives, doulas, and former clients. Approved to fulfill the education requirement by Mercy Birth Center and recommended by First Breath Birth and Wellness Center.

  • I help you build trust with your care provider and birth team, enabling conversations that will help you feel safe and well supported.

  • Birth and Beyond is the ONLY class in the area that includes a PRIVATE CLASS for each couple. This important class helps you explore fears safely and so much more!

  • I do not sugar coat anything. You will be given realistic and practical expectations for birth, postpartum and transitioning into a family. I will also respect you, your beliefs, and your hopes for your journey.

  • I am deeply committed to my clients and their well being.

  • You don’t just get classes, you get an awesome community!

Our Community:
